Preview | Antony Szmierek – Glasgow St Luke’s

Manchester-based poet, writer, and producer Antony Szmierek will headline Glasgow’s St Lukes this Spring.

Currently travelling the UK and Europe with Faithless, Antony will set on his own headline UK tour this spring, headlining Glasgow’s St Luke’s on Sunday 9th March.

The tour will celebrate his forthcoming debut album ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’, due out on February 28th.

Co-produced by Szmierek and his long-time collaborators Robin Parker, Max Rad, Louie Fulford-Smith and Yves Jones, the album is a tongue-in-cheek tale of “punks, weirdos and Manchester characters” all stationed at a mythical rest stop, as well as Antony’s own exploration of his life today.

The album’s title pays tribute to the service stations Szmierek frequented while touring across the UK over the past year, while also nodding to ‘The Restaurant at the End of the Universe’, the sequel to ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’.

‘Service Station at the End of the Universe’ serves as both a culmination of his dancefloor poetry and a showcase of his evolving artistry. Blending poignant moments with infectious pop melodies and pulsating dancefloor rhythms, the album takes listeners on a dynamic and immersive journey.
