With days to go until one of the most important dates in a music lover’s diary, we take a look at what bands you should check out at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival.
It’s a special year for Slam Dunk North as we get to experience its new layout and locations around Leeds City Centre as well as having Slam Dunk veterans – You Me At Six, headlining.
As well as big names performing there are also great upcoming new artists and bands that we reckon you should watch across the weekend!
Here’s our breakdown of the top acts we recommend you should catch…
You Me At Six
Roll out the red carpet, for Slam Dunk royalty is set to headline the main stage at this year’s festival! Having just finished a tour of Australia, the boys are set to take on Slam Dunk. This year is going to be one to remember!
Lower Than Atlantis
Having recently completed a UK Tour and due to announce another later this week, it’s a jam-packed year for Lower Than Atlantis. Check them out on the main stage this weekend!
Don Broco
With new music on the way as their brand new album, ‘Automatic’ drops this August, Don Broco are back with their catchy chorus’ and bouncy stage presence. Push Up Squad align! The boys are back in town!
Fort Hope
The lads in Fort Hope have definitely got a busy few week ahead of them, they’re heading off on tour with Finch and Only Rivals next week, following their performance on The Fresh Blood Stage. Their new EP, ‘Fort Hope‘ has had us hooked for days! Definitely ones to watch!
PVRIS
Taking the UK rock scene by storm, American band PVRIS are set to play Slam Dunk’s Main Stage. With tracks such as ‘St.Patrick‘ and ‘My House‘ they’re sure to get the main stage raring to go and warmed up!
As it Is
Now everyone loves a bit of American pop-punk, right? Well we’ve found your new favourites! As It Is are opening the Macbeth Stage so be sure to get down early and get your groove on!
This Wild Life
Duo, This Wild Life have recently completed their first successful run of touring the UK and are playing the Fresh Blood Stage! Their summer-daze acoustic feel will certainly set the tone and captivate the crowd for hopefully, a little sing-a-long!
Beartooth
Playing the Monster Stage amidst their UK Tour and ahead of their summer of Festivals including Reading and Leeds, Beartooth are definitely going to rock up a storm at this year’s Slam Dunk!
Moose Blood
Headlining the Fresh Blood stage, four-piece from Canterbury Moose Blood are definitely ones to check out! They’ve had a busy year so far having just come off a UK run with Man Overboard and are jetting off to the states to also appear at Warped Tour.
It’s set to be a big one this year and with the North After party casually being held at Leeds First Direct Arena, we suggest you prepare to party hard!
