Prepare your sunglasses, wellies and jumpers – festival season is underway.

Solas Festival will return from Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June at The Bield at Blackruthven in rural Perthshire.

Returning for the sixth year, the all-age weekend festival combines music, theatre, dance, literature, visual art and debates with this year’s theme Between The Lines exploring culture from across the globe.

This year’s festival headliners include Tuff Love, RM Hubbert and Emma Pollock, Hector Bizerk and Honeyblood.

Other acts on the music bill include The Sunshine Social, Prehistoric Friends, Jonnie Common and The Vaselines.

And it’s not often you can attend a music festival with its own petting zoo…

As well as getting up close with some furry friends, children’s options for Solas include circus skills, family yoga, storytelling, puppet making and the wolf’s tea party.

Weekend tickets are still available and include camping, car parking and entry to all events costing £85 for adults and £32.50 for children aged 12 to 17.

Children aged up to 11 go free, but you must still book a ticket.
