Summerhall is set to host a ten-day outdoor festival this summer.

Running from Friday 15th June to Sunday 24th June, the festival will feature live performances in the venue’s outdoor courtyard.

Kicking things off with FestivALE on June 15th and 16th, the venue’s sell-out beer festival will return for the fifth year featuring the famed Massaoke band who will provide the world’s biggest live jukebox while you sip on craft beers from Scottish and world brewers.

This year’s beer line-up includes unique twists the Schofferhoffer grapefruit Radler, Barney’s Grapefruit Extra Pale Ale and a Marshmallow Milk stout

On Saturday 17th June, the Courtyard Ceilidh will take place with the Scot Leslie Ceilidh band before the Scots legends The Skids and Big Country arrive in town on June 19th.

London’s Portico Quartet will make their way to the capital to join in the celebrations on June 20th before an indie pop night featuring Idlewild, Paws and Man of Moon will takeover the venue on June 21st.

The Edinburgh International Film Festival collaboration will take place on June 22nd bringing rarely seen film ‘Monterey Pop‘ to town for an outdoor screening. The film features performances by popular artists of the 1960s, including Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, Otis Redding and Jimi Hendrix, highlighting the music at the 1967 Californian music festival.

Coinciding with the launch of the National Museum of Scotland’s new exhibition Rip It Up: The Story of Scottish Pop, the venue will also host an exclusive all dayer on Saturday 23rd June with Rip It Up Music Festival featuring top Scottish acts including Be Charlotte, Broken Records, Stanley Odd and Withered Hand alongside very special guests.

Southern Exposure will close with a headline show from 70’s rockers The Rezillos who will conclude the courtyard live music sessions with an outdoor performance on June 24th.
