Summerhall’s Mare Music programme has unveiled its March line-up.

With four nights of music, programmed by Arusa Qureshi, the gig line-up is an eclectic mix of genres from art punk to synth to folk.

Synth storyteller Amateur Cult will headline the Old Lab on Friday 8th March with a double-headline slot alongside Dragged Up. The artists will bring their post punk electronica sounds to Summerhall with support on the night from Edinburgh’s samwooddoowmas.

There’s no time to rest as Rebecca Vasmant Live Ensemble take to the stage with their spellbounding live set on Saturday 9th March. Following the success of sell-out album ‘With Love, From Glasgow’, the ensemble features world class Scottish musicians and acclaimed harpist Amanda Whiting blending genres to create a mesmerising soundscape.

Saturday 16th March will see Sam Lee celebrate the release of his fourth studio album ‘songdreaming’ at Summerhall. The forthcoming release, due out on March 15th, sees the artists develop his sound following 2020’s ‘Old Wow’ with nine newly imagined singles.

Making the trip from Nottingham Colouring will bring this sounds of his new album ‘Love To You, Mate’ to Summerhall on Friday 22nd March marking the only Scottish stop on his tour. The night will see Jack Kenworthy perform his meaningful soulful singles influenced by his family’s shared experience of his brother-in-law’s cancer diagnosis which saw the artist unleash his most honest and direct work to-date.
