Review | Slam Dunk Festival 2015 | Fresh Blood Stage

slam dunk 2015The intimate setting of the Fresh Blood Stage at Slam Dunk North provided the perfect chance to watch new talent.

One of the smaller spaces at the festival, the Fresh Blood Stage provided newer bands on the music scene the chance to prove themselves on the festival circuit.

Heading along to the student union throughout the day, here are our top highlights:

Fort Hope

Just one day before their Slam Dunk appearance, Fort Hope announced they had signed to Virgin EMI, and within one song they’d packed out the room and proved exactly why they’d landed the deal. Their set flowed perfectly with strong vocals from Jon Gaskin including sing-a-long moments with Plans and The Rapture.

Moose Blood

For the lads from Canterbury, the room had reached full capacity with a one-in-one-out system for the venue. Headlining the stage ahead of their Warped Tour appearances, the hotly tipped four-piece showcased their potential for much bigger festival stages with ease. Definitely ones to keep an eye on as they’re bound to take off across festival season.
