Having just completed their first headline UK and European tour, Sparrow and the Workshop have just announced that they will be joining The Pogues on their Christmas shows.

The band are big fans of The Pogues and can’t wait to join them on tour, Jill explained more;

“My folks and I moved to Chicago from Ireland when I was small and they listened to the Pogues religiously. They saw them play whenever they came into town and sang along to them at parties and in pubs. The Pogues were important for us, for my folks to feel connected to the place they left behind and for me to know more about my own cultural heritage. When we were offered the support tour I was shocked and delighted. I’ll probably faint when I meet the band. I’ve never really been star-struck but, yeah, I’ll faint for sure.”

Sparrow & The Workshop are currently working on their follow-up album, which is due to be released early next year.
