The Blackout to replace Sum 41 on Kerrang! 2012 Tour

Due to a back injury sustained by Sum 41’s front man, The Blackout will replace Sum 41 on this year’s Kerrang! Tour.

The Sum 41 singer and guitarist has been told he is not able to perform on the 11-date tour.

Speaking of his injury Deryck commented;
“I feel really terrible about letting down the fans. I injured my back and the doctors are saying that I could be in a wheelchair. So, as much as I wanted to be able to do it, I’ve got to look at reality, and for the first time I’ve got to listen to somebody else and not just myself. We’re all really upset about this; we’ve had such a great relationship with our UK fans. We were really looking forward to this tour.”

The Blackout are no strangers to the Kerrang! tour, as they performed on the tour in 2010.

The new line-up will be New Found Glory, The Blackout, Letlive and While She Sleeps.
