Track of the Day | The Collier – Easy To Love

The Collier have released their new single ‘Easy To Love’.

Recorded at Rockfield Studios in South Wales and produced by Ali Staton (Pulp, Madonna, PJ Harvey), the single was written in the aftermath of an argument lead singer Joshua Hixson had with the band.

Speaking of the single, Josh explained: “I wasn’t the nicest person at the time and felt that instead of going in and shouting and arguing, I would simply apologise by saying ‘hey I know it’s not easy being my friend, but humour me’.

We wrote the ending together. It’s one of those big ridiculous endings that we love. To play it live is such a surge of energy that most times I find myself smashing my guitar on the floor out of frustration. It takes hold of you and takes you to a completely different place to the rest of the song”.

Easing in with acoustic guitar, ‘Easy To Love’ is a gripping single with engaging vocals, sounding set for a movie soundtrack.
