About Bunny have released their debut single ‘Special’.

The track was originally due out back in Spring, following their debut live show opening for VUKOVI in Kingston-Upon-Thames but was rescheduled due to COVID-19.

The single is the first of three singles from About Bunny, with an EP due in 2021.

Joining forces from across the UK, the band bonded over ‘a shared love of Debbie Harry, dancing and pre-pandemic nights out’.

Speaking of their new track, vocalist Jemma Mckenzie-Brown said: “‘Special’ is our debut song and we’re really excited to finally have it unleashed on the world! It’s the second song Alex our bass player and I actually wrote it in our first-ever writing session! I asked her to play something energetic and bouncy, she played that bassline and the rest poured out of us! This song is about those guys (although it equally could be applied to girls!) who rock up name dropping and trying to impress you with tall tales and their mad party lifestyle. To quote Shania, that don’t impress me much!”

Instantly addictive, ‘Special’ is a strong debut from About Bunny. With driving guitars, pounding drums and thunderous bass, the single offers a throwback to the well-loved gritty 80’s punk-infused sound as an air of swagger surrounds the release. ‘Special’ is set to instantly invigorate any listener.
