Arcade Hearts have released their new single ‘Get Close’.
Out now via AWAL, the track is the follow-up to previous LMLL Track of the Day ‘Y U?’.
The coincides with the band’s biggest headline tour to-date this month with forthcoming dates including Newcastle’s Surf Cafe (27th September) and London Thousand Island (4th October)’.
Speaking of the single, lead singer Dan Surridge-Smith said: “We self-produced and tracked this record
ourselves, and wrote it after coming back from our first headline tour. I guess the highs from the shows against the stark comparison to chasing work again, really highlighted the Instagram/social media culture that we’re compelled to prove ourselves in. The feeling of being in touch with yourself and people around you during the shows, and then ironically disconnecting with how you feel and the people around you when going back to normality was definitely something that played on our mind when writing the track.”
In our eyes (and ears) Arcade Hearts can do no wrong, as they’ve landed another one of our TOTD slots. Their addictive indie electro-pop flows with 80’s vibes and wouldn’t sound out of place on the Stranger Things soundtrack.
Pop those headphones on and get ready to groove.
