Beachtape have released their new single ‘Speakn’.

Out now via CRC Records, the single marks the first new music from the band since 2020.

Speaking of the single, vocalist Rory Sear said: “I remember writing this song on New Years Eve — I think that inspired the ‘there’s always next year’ line. I guess I was looking back at 2020 and thinking about moving forward, feeling confused at the distance put between friends and family and the strains it had on those relationships.

“We recorded it in early 2021 when we tracked what would become our album. It’s the first time we’ve tried using a synth in a track too. I think I was probably listening to too much Grandaddy at the time…”

This fuzzy indie-rock release is a psychedelic treat for the ears that’s instantly made its way onto our summer soundtrack.
