Charity Children have released their new single ‘We Loved’.
The track marks the band’s return after a 5-year hiatus and is a taster of their upcoming album ‘Almost Young’, due out late summer.
‘We Loved’ is one of two songs on the album written by – and to – each other as a celebration of the duo’s break-up.
Speaking of the single, they said: “What is ‘working out’ in a relationship anyway? We did work, and then we didn’t… but we still worked.”
Celebrating their break-up, the track is an open and honest encounter of their relationship, exploring both highs and lows. A refreshing approach to the traditional break-up song, the retro-tinged alt-pop single tackles the topic in a healthy way through its engaging, laidback 80’s styled sound.
