Easter Island Statues have released their new single ‘Teddy’.
The track is taken from the indie rockers forthcoming second EP ‘I Wouldn’t Worry About It’.
Written as an ode to former US President Teddy Roosevelt, whom frontman Don has long been fascinated by, the former President’s quote “Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster” even inspired the band’s formation.
‘Teddy’ was written about making the most of life and, fittingly, the track makes the most of every second. With no room to stop, it’s a frenzied blend of indie-pop led by jangly guitars and expressive vocals.
The band’s new single release comes ahead of their London headliner at Shacklewell Arms on August 15th.
