Jakil have announced the release of their new single ‘Tongue Tied’.
Due out on July 8th via Kira Kira Records, the track is the follow-up to their recent release ‘Istanbul’ which saw the five-piece introduce a funk infused pop sound.
Speaking of ‘Tongue Tied’, Jakil said: “The song is basically a tribute to everybody whos had butterflies about somebody to the point of feeling sick. When writing the song, we wanted to give it the feeling of a last summer dance twinned with the outright pleasure we get from listening to something like, Lionel Ritchie’s ‘All Night Long’.”
Within just one listen, we couldn’t resist the contagious summer sound enamoured by frontman Kieran O’Brien warming vocals. Bound to go down extremely well in a live capacity, we’re now eagerly waiting on the guys announcing a show or two…
