Track of the Day | Patrick – Don’t Blame It On Me

Patrick has released his new single ‘Don’t Blame It On Me’.

Speaking of the single, Patrick said: “‘Don’t Blame it On Me’ is a polaroid of my late teens/early twenties. It was written shortly after I moved to Manchester from Northern Ireland. I had very recently discovered ‘gay culture’ in a way that I had never experienced before. I was partying until the sun was up, kissing boys with no names that I’d never see again and dancing care-free with people just like me. I was happy and content with my sexuality for the first time. There was no real sense of responsibility in my life and I had never felt happier or more liberated.”

The single was written about one particular night in Manchester where he met a guy who quickly caught feelings which were unreciprocated.

‘Don’t Blame It On Me’ is an uplifting pop-infused release with addictive melodic verses that’ll leave you bopping along. A situation that many of us have experienced, Patrick has turned his experience into a hit-worthy tune sounding set for the airwaves.
