Quiet, The Art have released their new single ‘Monochrome’.
The Edinburgh rock and shoegaze duo’s new release follows December 2022’s track ‘Nothing Grows Here Anymore’.
Speaking of their new release, the band said: “We’re really excited to share our new single ‘Monochrome’. We haven’t released anything for over a year and it felt like a long time between releases but we are continuing to evolve our sound and this song feels like a natural progression and evolution from what has come before. We have spent the last year writing furiously and have a huge amount of new music to share so this is really just the beginning of the next chapter for us with lots more to come. Our confidence as songwriters is really growing and we hope people will hear that reflected in the song and what’s to come next.
“We’re in the process of getting ready to bring the music to life with some gigs which we’re looking forward to a lot as we haven’t played too much live yet. Being a two piece makes playing live a challenge and we don’t shy away from the fact we have to use backing tracks in our live set-up but we’ll be bringing all the energy to gigs with some announcements coming very soon.”
‘Monochrome’ introduces Quiet, The Art’s unique fusion of post-rock, post-punk, and shoegaze. Crafting an immersive soundscape through intricate layering, the cross-genre exploration is set to take listeners on an atmospheric journey.
