Retro Video Club have released their new single ‘Boys Like Me’.
The release follows the band’s recent headline shows, which included a headline show at Glasgow’s SWG3, and comes ahead of their winter tour featuring two nights at Glasgow’s King Tut’s.
Speaking of the single, the band said: “’This is a song about confronting your ego, and challenging the social scale. It’s telling you to abandon your thoughts about what or who is cool, and just live in the moment. We were aiming for the sky, production-wise. We’ve always been proud of our live show and we really do want as much of that to come across in the recording as possible. When you’re writing songs, part of you is always thinking ‘this bit will be so good live’.”
‘Boys Like Me’ is a euphoric single driven by pulsating guitars. Retro Video Club’s signature sound soon kicks in – driven by rhythm and singalong set lyrics.
