Scratch have released their new single ‘Soak’.
With their debut album due for release this year, the duo has now unveiled the first tracks from the release.
Despite living thousands of miles apart, with a 12 hour time difference, the duo creates their music combining their talents from Perth in Australia and New York.
Recorded in their individual home studios and shared over the internet, each track is built upon from these collaborative ideas shared across the globe.
Alongside the album release, the duo has also announced they aim to team up to tour in late 2018 to ignite the live element to their multi-continental tracks.
Speaking of the single, the band explained: “‘Soak’ is the grand finale on our upcoming album. While most of the song was written relatively quickly, the bridge was something we grappled with for a long time. We wanted to make sure we got it right.”
‘Soak’ is a laidback rock infused single that leaves room for each instrument to breathe and stand its own. It’ll leave toes tapping and heads bobbing along before building up to a powerful singalong ready chorus.
