Track of the Day | Swimming Tapes – Keep Her Closer

Swimming Tapes have released their new single ‘Keep Her Closer’.

The track is the latest single taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Morningside’, due for on May 24th via Hand in Hive.

Speaking of the new single, the band said: “‘Keep Her Closer’ is a song I wrote after finding out a very young love got married. Her house had an amazing garden and I remembered all the times we went out at dusk and ran through it to the fields behind her house, escaping our parents. I just wrote it as an ode to her and in the hope that she’s happy and enjoying life.”

After catching Swimming Tapes live at Hit The North, we’re even more eagerly awaiting the release of their new album.

‘Keep Her Closer’ encapsulates the band’s hazy summer vibe, with a shimmering single. Consistently sounding exactly as live on record, the album is sure to feel more like the band are playing live in front of you than out a speaker.
