The Districts have released their new single ‘Cheap Regrets’.
The track is the second single taken from their forthcoming album ‘You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere’, due for release on March 13th via Fat Possum.
Speaking of the single, singer/guitarist Rob Grote said: “‘Cheap Regrets’ is some late-capitalist nihilism channelled into a Districts dance party. It’s about the extremes of American culture constantly reinforcing the self. The mirror reconfirms you. It’s all iPhone, selfies, and mirrors. Sell yourself baby. The consumer gets consumed. I wanted people to dance together to a song about alienation to find some collective transcendence in that.”
‘Cheap Regrets’ presents a genre mash-up of noughties indie meets 80’s dance, curating an addictive blend that will have you grooving along.
