Tom Misch has released his new single ‘Red Moon’.
The new track was written and recorded in Nashville with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk.
Speaking of the single, Tom said: “’Red Moon’ is sonically inspired by J.J. Cale and the way he double tracks his vocals, our vocal range sits in quite a similar low range. He sings very softly into a microphone and pans his vocals left and right, and runs it to tape giving his music a bedroomy, 70’s DIY sound and I wanted to capture some of that energy.”
‘Red Moon’ embraces the new era of Tom’s music, showing off a sound that feels more honest and stripped-back than ever. It’s a downbeat ballad with a laid-back vibe, full of soft lingering hues drawing from his classic influences.
