The Unsigned Music Awards 2018 will kick off the 13th edition of The Great Escape Festival.

The UMAs have teamed up with The Great Escape and Live Nation to host the official opening ceremony in Brighton.

Swapping its London origins for Brighton Centre, the awards will celebrate the UK’s unsigned artists on May 16th 2018.

For the ceremony, the UMAs has also announced a partnership with UNILAD who will globally live stream the two-hour show.

Speaking of the announcement, Simon O’Kelly CEO of UMA Music Group and the Unsigned Music Awards said: “We are excited to continue the growth of the Unsigned Music Awards as a platform to promote unsigned, self-signed and otherwise emerging artists, around the world. Opening Europe’s largest festival for new music with an award ceremony that recognises only new music makes perfect sense and we can’t think of a more suitable partner to bring this vision to life, than Live Nation.”
