We’re delighted to host the premiere of Eloi’s new live music video for ‘Uproot’.
‘Uproot’ is taken from the Eloi’s latest EP release ‘Bloom Again’ which vocalist Jen describes as “about the realisation that a relationship is no longer what it once was and recognising the need for it to come to an end, pulling it out by its roots to start anew”.
The band are currently in the process of recording their next EP due out early next year and are treating fans to live performances in the lead-up as part of the monthly late neo-soul shows at the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh.
The latest video release from the 7-piece Edinburgh band was filmed and edited by Glasgow-based filmmaker Jacob Ceris Gandy (they/them) at Colorsound Studios in Edinburgh.
Speaking of the live session, the band said: “We had a go at recording the audio of the live session ourselves for the first time which turned out to be a really enjoyable process. It gave us a bit more freedom to try things out in terms of what kind of sound we wanted, and was a great learning experience for future recording.”
