Anglo-Swedish band The Villainy have announced the release of their debut single ‘Where the Beaten Go’ on July 29th.
The single has been released through newly formed Man In The Moon Records via Warner ADA.
Since forming at the end of 2013 the band have since been signed by Nick Stewart’s management company, otherwise known as the man who signed U2 to Island Records.
The Villainy have enjoyed tours across England and throughout Sweden and are headed up by singer and lyricist Ted Morris alongside Henrik Palm on lead guitar, Anton Svensson on bass and Marcus Carter on drums.
Their sound has been likened to the anthemic musical stylings of artists such as The National, Bruce Springsteen and The Killers. Indeed, Morris manages to counterbalance a certain maturity in his voice with an almost poetic vulnerability.
The Villainy can be found on a European tour in July, before an appearance at Y Not Festival in Derbyshire on the last weekend of July.
