Wild Youth have released their new EP ‘Forever Girl’.

The 6-track pop-soaked EP intertwines euphoric releases with laidback love songs creating a singalong set collection of tracks.

To celebrate the EP release, we caught up with the band’s songwriter Conor O’Donohoe to share with us 5 tracks that influenced the EP.

Kanye – Black Skinhead | Listen via Spotify
The groove in this song has always blown my mind, and it’s something I always wanted to try to replicate. I think you can hear that inspiration in ‘Can’t Say No’.

Tame Impala – The Less I Know The Better | Listen via Spotify
Tame Impala are like my favourite act in the world. They always use such interesting groove and groove changes and super interesting sounds. It’s someone who inspires everything I do but this song in particular.

Daft Punk & Julian Casablancas – Instant Crush | Listen via Spotify
What I love about this song is how sonically it’s so linear but it keeps you hooked from start to finish. I took a lot of inspiration from how the vocal is delivered.

Travis Scott – Sicko Mode | Listen via Spotify
I went to a Travis Scott show and this song live blew my mind. The low end and how badass it is made me wanna take risks and try new things.

Phoenix – 1901 | Listen via Spotify
I love how feel good this song is. I think they nail the perfect balance between being a cool indie song with enough pop and I love that.
