Alexandra Burke has gained her third number one single today with “Start Without You”.

The song went straight to the top of the chart and managed to knock another X-Factor star, Olly Murs, off the number one spot taking him to number four in this weeks chart with “Please Don’t Let Me Go”.

The number two slot remained unchanged with Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”, Taio Cruz was at number 3 with single “Dynamite”.

Irish band The Script had a new entry at number 5 with “For The First Time”.

Another new entry into the top ten was McFly’s single “Party Girl”, which despite only reaching number 6 in the single chart, was one of the bands biggest selling singles to date.

In the album chart, Killers front man Brandon Flowers stole the number one spot with his debut solo album “Flamingo”.
