Natives; Stand For Something

‘Stand For Something’ is the forthcoming E.P from Natives which is released on June 2nd.

The boys have been working on their eagerly anticipated debut album and have recently been on tour with US band The Summer Set.

If you have listened to Natives before then you will know just how great these guys are. They have everything from catchy choruses to enchanting acoustics – these guys can do it all! So when I sat down to listen to their new E.P I expected nothing less.

The first track off the E.P is ‘Stand For Something’ which can only be described as an anthem – you can’t but help sing a long. The song itself portrays a very powerful message and for the video the band involved their fans by having them write what they wanted to be/have in life. ‘Stand For Something’ will definitely be a crowd pleaser live and leave you singing the chorus for days after.

Hate.Fix.Hope’ transpires to have more of a mellow vibe and gradually builds up momentum to have a very dynamic sound. This track definitely has a different twist to it from their usual sound, however is nonetheless another great song from Natives.

The E.P includes a live cover of ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ which is even catchier than the original.

Natives seem to have a way with making each song sound individual but with a killer chorus that leaves you hooked for days.

The acoustic version of ‘Stand For Something’ must be listened to. With powerful vocals and a raw sound these boys know exactly how to do an acoustic version and they’ve got it down to a ‘T’.

‘Stand For Something’ has a mixture of everything you would wish for and more –  an anthem, an acoustic and a cover. Natives never fail to deliver songs that will keep you coming back for more.

You can download the E.P from iTunes now.
