Azerbaijan have won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.

With the 25 entrants and 150 million viewers worldwide Azerbaijan were tonight crowned the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.

This year’s ceremony has taken place in Düsseldorf, Germany.

20 of the acts were put through the first hurdle at the semi-finals during the week and 5 were automatically through due to their contribution to the Eurovision.

In at second place were Italy and third Sweden. UK finished in 11th and Ireland 8th.
