Croydon will be home to a new music festival this spring as Cro Cro Land makes its debut.

Taking place on April 6th, the multi-stage festival will take over Urban Xchange with the Town Square, Concrete Playground and The Tram Stop.

It may not be top of the list when it comes to thinking of the origin of legendary artists, but the South London town was once home to the likes of David Bowie and The Damned. Not to mention its most recent musical success story Stormzy.

The South London festival is “on a ‘mission to bring guitar bands back to the birthplace of punk” and will look to bring back the musical buzz to Croydon with a line-up mixing indie and alternative acts.

Alongside the unveileing of the festival plans, the first bands set for Cro Cro Land 2019 have also been unveiled including Blood Red Shoes, The Lovely Eggs, Nova Twins. Moses, Bugeye and LMLL favourites Bang Bang Romeo.

Better yet, the venue is located beside East Croydon Station making it just a 10 minute journey from London Bridge and 30 minutes from Brighton.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now, priced at £26 via Cro Cro Land.

Each ticket sale also includes a £1 charity donation to ‘Lives Not Knives’ (LNK), a youth-led charity for young people in London working to prevent knife crime, serious youth violence and anti-social behaviour as well as giving support and guidance to young people in need.
