Make Friends have unveiled their new single ‘Drop Naked’.

Recorded at Geoff Barrow’s Invada Studios in Bristol with Everything Everything keys player and producer Pete Sené, the track is the first track taken from their forthcoming debut EP.

Due out in spring, Make Friends have triumphed with their first release with a shimmering indie single.

Speaking of the single, the band said: “The lyrics centre around themes of being emotionally unfaithful, maybe there’s someone who catches your eye and you attempt to pursue something even when you know it’s wrong and unfair. We wanted the music to sound uplifting in strong contrast to the darker subject matter.”

Combining infectious pop grooves with driven indie guitar lines, which sound somewhat familiar in the essence of fellow returning indie bands Bombay Bicycle Club and Foals, Make Friends scatter colliding indie elements throughout. A laidback groove-along track surrounding a topic that’s no doubt crossed many minds, even if we don’t want to admit it.
