Ahead of Edinburgh’s New Year celebrations, we take a look at the bands performing on the Waverley Stage.
This year’s Waverley Stage is a full Scottish affair with a touch of rock and hip hop.

Edinburgh lads Young Fathers have certainly had a fantastic year, scooping both the Scottish Album of the Year Award for their EP ‘Tape Two’ and the Barclaycard Mercury Music Award for their album ‘Dead’.
The trio and have grown from singing into a karaoke machine to gigging across town since 2008, showcasing their energetic blend of alternative hip hop and will tour the UK in May 2015.
The Twilight Sad
This year, The Twilight Sad released their fourth album ‘Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave’ receiving rave reviews for the release across the globe, as well as performing at this year’s T in the Park festival.
The band is already set for a slot at SXSW next year and have a headline tour booked in for April, following a series of American dates.
Twin Atlantic
It’s safe to say Twin Atlantic returned with a bang this year.
Selling out the Barrowlands, charting in the top 20 and performing at T in the Park and Reading and Leeds Festival are just a few of the massive achievements Twin Atlantic landed this year.
The band has also recently announced a date at Glasgow’s 13,000 capacity SSE Hydro and it’s safe to say it’s worth catching these guys as they always bring the party atmosphere to their live sets.
