Alberta Cross are Petter Ericson Stakee (vocals/guitar) and Terry Wolfers(bass).
The duo is from Sweden and London, yet now live in Brooklyn!
Meeting in an East End pub 7 years ago, they have since toured the world playing headline shows and festivals gaining a fan base across the globe.
Alberta Cross will release their second album ‘Songs of Patience’ on September 3rd.
Can you tell the readers more about how you initially met?
In a dirty little classy joint in the heart of East London. The place was owned by a friend, so we spent a lot of time there early on.
What has been your favourite live show to-date?
To hard to say! So far, this Europe run has been great. Gothenburg was packed with a line around the block. Being that it was my native land it felt very special.
How would you describe your second album?
Very colourful and much warmer than ‘Broken Side of Time’.
Why did you title the album ‘Songs of Patience’?
We felt it was a fitting titled considering how much we went through to finish it. At the end of the day, it really paid off, and we are very proud of it. Looking forward to having a lot of people to hear it!
Which track is your favourite from the new album?
‘Tears in Heaven’…just kidding. Seriously, it’s hard to pick. They all have a different and personal feel to me.
You’re about to start your European tour, what can fans expect?
Just finished touring the states, and the band is really on fire at the moment. Being back in Europe is great because it feels like home. It’s been so long – it’s amazing to be back, and we’ll be putting on some excellent shows for everyone over here!
Do you have any pre-tour preparations?
Sleep!
What would you like to achieve by the end of the year?
To start working on the next record and to become a better snooker player.
