The young Edinburgh 4-piece walked into the old church dressed in leather jackets and sunglasses with long messy hair.
And not surprisingly, before the band had taken to the stage their teenage fans gathered around the door hugging each other and waving at the band.
The band had decided to play a full set rather than an acoustic effort therefore time was taken to set up the band’s amps and drum kits.
Despite the change in atmosphere, the band did not have a full sound check and launched straight into their first song within minutes of setting up – leaving drummer Billy Foreman contending with a wobbly drum kit for the set.
Unfortunately it was evident the band had not warmed up for the show, as lead singer Darren Barclay’s voice hadn’t quite warmed up and was off-key during the first few songs.
Once the set had fully kicked in, the difference in his vocals was noticeable and his tone suits the slower melodic songs better.
‘Take Me Far Away’ was the best song we caught in their set with the band connecting well on stage and finally looking at home.
The band was a nice addition to the day showcasing a little more that Edinburgh’s music scene has to offer and once they tighten up their set and warm up their vocals, they will be ready to take to the stage again.
