Cameo Habitat are premiering their new single ‘Reside’ exclusively via Love Music; Love Life.

The new single from the Edinburgh indie-rockers continues to take influence from the band’s inspirations including DIIV, The Night Cafe and Joy Division.

With over 160,000 streams to-date, ‘Reside’ is the band’s fourth single release, following 2019’s festival slots including Tenement Trail and King Tut’s Summer Nights.

Speaking of the single, the band said: “‘Reside’ is a step in a new direction for Cameo Habitat. It deals with the themes of change and hopeless acceptance when entering a new stage in one’s life. The track brings out harsher tones and highlights a grittier sound to the band that many have not yet heard.”

‘Reside’ encompasses the jangly upbeat indie sound we all know and love, with a clear callback to their inspirations, intertwined with Rowan Gallacher’s vocal twang that hails back to 90’s indie rock days.
