Thursday’s The New Friday will return to Edinburgh this spring.

A new music night in Edinburgh, Thursday’s The New Friday aims to encourage people to go out during the week to support their local music scene, the Thursday night gig series recently held a sold-out show with Amy Lou, Kendama and The Plastic Mac.

Thursday’s The New Friday will takeover Opium on Thursday 5th March with headliners North Atlas and support from KLEOPATRA and SMUT.

Speaking of the gig, music promotions company Underground Sounds Edinburgh said: “Thursday’s the New Friday is a night that aims to showcase the best upcoming talent in and around Scotland as well as get people out to gigs during the week and not just on Friday nights/weekends. North Atlas will be playing fresh out the studio and re-energised ready to play their best shows yet. Kleopatra will be our first ever Android to play for Underground Sounds bringing dark pop music from Glasgow!”

Tickets for the night are on sale now, priced at £7 in advance. Limited tickets will also be available for £9 on the door.
