Preview | TRNSMT Festival | Weekend One | King Tut’s Stage

The first weekend of TRNSMT Festival 2018 festival will see a cross-genre blend with acts tipped for success performing on the stage, many of whom will follow their recent sold-out shows at the iconic venue.

With headliners Tom Walker, The Sherlocks and Sigrid, The King Tut’s Stage will pave the way for acts who’ll undoubtedly be heading straight to main stage slots in 2019.

Friday 29th June will see headliner Tom Walker return to Glasgow following his sold-out city shows including O2’s ABC. Joining Tom Walker on the Friday line-up are Pale Waves, fresh from their American acclaim and amidst their summer schedule flowing with festival slots. Marmozets will continue the success of their second album ‘Knowing What You Know Now’ with their festival slot while Anteros,Ninth Wave, Sly Digs and Newcastle’s charming indie rocker Sam Fender will serve up a blend of dream pop and indie rock.

The Sherlocks will headline Saturday’s slot on June 30th joined by LMLL favourites The Night Cafe alongside a rap infusion with rapper-singer IAMDDB, Bas and Ramz, alongside a full band set from The View’s Kyle Falconer, The Academic and West Lothian’s The Snuts.

Closing the weekend on the King Tut’s Stage on Sunday 1st July will be headliner Sigrid who made her way to the top of radio playlists earlier this year, thanks to winning BBC Sound of 2018, Sigrid will be joined by theatrical alt-rockers King No-One who’ll bring the glitter and flare while Dermot Kennedy will strip things back with his enchanting singles. Confidence Man, The Magic Gang, Fatherson and Island complete the Sunday line-up bringing the first weekend of TRNSMT to a close on the King Tut’s stage!

King Tut’s is renowned for hand-selecting top artists before they soar into musical stardom, and it seems they’re set to carry on this sentiment into TRNSMT 2018.

With previously booked Tut’s acts making their way to sold-out arena shows in a matter of years, if you’re looking to say you “saw them first” make your way to the King Tut’s stage!
