The Wanted set to release 2011 official Comic Relief Single

It has been revealed that this years Comic Relief single shall be released by boy band The Wanted.

The Wanted are releasing their track ‘Gold Forever’ as the official Red Nose Day single and the band previewed the track earlier today, with a welcomed reception from fans.

The Wanted shall follow in the footsteps of acts like Spice Girls, McFly and Girls Aloud, who have all previously topped the charts with their Comic Relief efforts in the past.

Band member Jay explained;
“We grew up watching it as kids and to be involved is crazy but an absolute honour. We hope we do everyone proud.”

Fellow band member Nathan echoed;
“Comic Relief is a British institution and something everyone wants to be part of. It’s an amazing charity and we’re thrilled to be involved.”

The track ‘Gold Forever’ will be available for digital download on Sunday 13th March and for physical release the following day.
