Track of the Day | Daytime TV – Fear

Daytime TV have released their new single ‘Fear’.

The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP ‘Island’, due out on May 3rd via Kartel Music Group.

Speaking of the single, frontman Will said: “Writing can easily become quite a brutal cycle of second guessing ourselves through fear of getting the next step wrong and halting the progress. Sometimes creatively, you get caught up with the fear of the consequences of your actions and become afraid to make any move at all. You find your brain subconsciously putting up barriers for yourself which ends up as this kind of creative paralysis. In writing ‘Fear’ we’ve freed ourselves from that feeling by writing about it. It was like we realised what was holding us back from making our best music and had to face the fear to overcome it”.

‘Fear’ is a dynamic alt-rock release which sees frontman Will’s soaring vocals collide with a fierce guitar riff. It’s undeniably engaging and catching from the get-go. An energetic single to remember, the track is reminiscent of fellow alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves
