Track of the Day | Gallus – MK Des (Miss Out)

Gallus have released their new single ‘MK Des (Miss Out).

The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming second album ‘Life Is Bliss’, due out on September 25th Via Marshall Records.
Its inspiration and namesake is taken from a man the band met whilst recording their album in Milton Keynes, inspired by his stories of missed opportunities and longing for experiences he felt passed him by.

Speaking about the track, Gallus said: “‘MK Des’ is about looking around and realising that places you thought would always be there aren’t anymore. The song is rooted in Glasgow, but it’s really about a feeling that a lot of people can relate to. Whether it’s a venue, a neighbourhood or a period of your life, everyone has something they’re worried about losing. It’s one of the more reflective moments on the record.”

With their signature Glasgow twang, ‘Mk Des (Miss Out)’ is another swagger-fuelled release that demands to be listened to, packed with relatable lyrics that are sure to be screamed from the top of fans lungs at live shows: “I won’t miss out, no I’m never missing….”
