London trio Lunacre have released their new track ‘Shakedown / Tall Tales’.

A track of two halves, the single cleverly portrays the band’s musical kaleidoscope in just five minutes.

The track is taken from Lunacre’s new EP ‘Pearl Tabloid’, written/produced over the past year by lead vocalist and songwriter Ben de Vries.

Speaking of ‘Shakedown’ the band said the track delves into “the suspicion that someone is hiding something from you and the obsession with trying to figure them out when they’re not willing to let you in…” whereas ‘Tall Tales’ explores how “versions of ourselves can get lost in the past, but can occasionally show up in old photos or diaries, feeling like long lost friends.”

Don’t think for one second that ‘Shakedown/ Tall Tales’ simply is a colliding release trying to squeeze everything they’ve got into one single. Within just one listen it’s evident Lunacre have the power to leave you hooked in seconds and as they seamlessly interweave two musical styles into one, it’s a mesmerising showcase of their textured sound, which only continues to enchant you with every surprising swoop in sound.
