Track of the Day | October Drift – Wallflower

October Drift have released their new single ‘Wallflower’.

The band has released a music video for the track ahead of kicking off their UK headline tour in support of their new album ‘Blame The Young’ including a headline show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s on October 30th.

Speaking of the single frontman Kiran Roy said: “I guess the theme of being a wallflower, and of being the quiet observer, reflects the time I was writing the song, which was during lockdown. The ‘wallflower’ is watching from the wings and seeing the ugliness of the world and choosing not to engage. It reflects seeing altercations but not doing anything to intervene or being in a social situation where you can’t relate to anyone there.”

‘Wallflower’ is a powerful release that offers a relatable and almost comforting experience as an ode to anyone who finds solace in their own company.
