Porcelain have released their new single ‘Escape Routes’.
The latest single from the Newcastle alt-rockers was produced by Lisa Murphy and engineered by Holly Rees at Blank Studios and Production Room.
Speaking of the single, frontman Curtis said: “The song, perhaps, is about feeling adrift, either from your own self, another person, or another thing, place, or time. When I hear the song, I hear a longing of some kind. It’s a very vulnerable song, one which I was, at first, worried about putting out. The whole ‘blown wide open’ lyric is about being in a state of vulnerability too, and hoping that someone has the humanity to pull you out of it. Although it may not sound like it, the song is about optimism and hope.”
‘Escape Routes’ is an atmospheric alt-rock track, blending ambient soundscapes with swirling guitars and layered melodies. The intricate instrumental backdrop complements the raw, emotive vocals, creating a captivating sonic experience.
