Saytr Play have released their new single ‘Bang Average’.

Produced by Courteeners bass player and long-time collaborator Joe Cross, the track has been released on his own ‘Lovers Music’ label.

Speaking of the track, the band explained: “‘Bang Average’ is a story of a boy, who falls madly in love with someone off limits and as a result doesn’t know what to do with himself. The song touches on how we begin to question ourselves because of the opinions of another. ‘Bang Average’ is for the hopeless romantic and the inexperienced youth.”

The new single comes ahead of the band’s hometown headliner at Gorilla in Manchester on February 22nd.

‘Bang Average’ is an instantly addictive indie anthem that shows the band are more ready to follow in the footsteps of fellow Mancunian indie bands who’ve made their way to the top of the circuit.

Flowing with energy, relatable lyrics and an engaging guitar line, it’s had us hooked from our first listen and we’ve a feeling that this single will be the one that gets them noticed.
