Track of the Day | Club Paradise – Sugar

Club Paradise have released the music video for new single ‘Sugar’.

The new track follows the release of their debut’Brother’ in summer 2018 which picked up airplay from BBC Introducing.

Speaking of the single, frontman Ryan Young said: “When we wrote ‘Sugar’, we were really in a rut and we were turning our attention elsewhere… other trails in our lives began to grab hold of us. On the surface, you can hear in the lyrics that ‘Sugar’ is about those thoughts and metaphorical addictions. We were trying to carve a path to our next steps – ‘how can you be so real but feel surreal to me?’. Our sound was maturing and we needed to up our game and match that as a unit. This was a turning point – we’ve found ourselves and our identity has found us.”

With a trippy retro video to boot, ‘Sugar’ is an electro-infused indie treat with more than a sprinkle of 80’s pop stylings. Flowing with an air of confidence and swagger, you’ll be strutting along in no time.
