SHEARS has released her new single ‘Ideas’.

The track is the third single taken from her forthcoming debut EP, due out on September 11th.

The single release is accompanied by a home-made video shot in the early hours of the morning at the top of Edinburgh’s Pentland Hills.

Speaking of the single, SHEARS said: “’Ideas’ is a conversation between two people. I wrote it after watching the documentary ‘Hot Girls Wanted’ which looks at young girls entering the sex trade in Miami. Although it’s the right job for some, I couldn’t stop thinking about the exploitation it uncovered and the difficulty it caused in maintaining personal relationships. It’s an argument between a young woman new to the industry and her close partner.”

Set against a sultry dark electro backdrop, that perfectly matches the single’s backstory, ‘Ideas’ showcases SHEARS’ impressive vocal range which perfectly intertwines into the pop-infused sizzling soundscape.
