Somebody’s Child has released his new single ‘Jungle’.
The new single comes ahead of the announcement that Somebody’s Child, now accompanied by a band, will support All Tvvins on their Irish tour in October.
Speaking of the single, Somebody’s Child said: “’Jungle’ to me provokes different feelings than my previous releases, such as loneliness, anguish, hurt and isolation. Its message is clear. It is a reflection of the times we are living in. We have political and economic facades thrown in our face every day. My generation feels disillusioned in its relationship with authority due to the circus going on right from the top figures down to the media broadcast in our homes. No-one seems to have any direction and this feeling is filtering into our minds. Our heads continue to focus on power, money and legacy while our planet is weak at the knees.”
Never one to shy away from expressing his feelings, ‘Jungle’ continues Somebody’s Child honest mission, taking topics many shy-away from to transform them into catchy singles.
‘Jungle’ tackles loneliness, anguish, hurt and isolation without steeping them in sadness or masking the pain. Soundtracked by an addictive guitar riff, that’ll embed itself in your head, ‘Jungle’ is the indie track that we reckon will propel Somebody’s Child further. Marking Somebody’s Child’s third appearance as TOTD, we can’t wait to say we’d heard him first!
