Tommy Ashby has released his new single ‘Poolside’ featuring Lydia Clowes.

Out now via Wow & Flutter Records, the track is the second single taken from Tommy’s forthcoming ‘Lay Low’ EP, due out on May 14th.

All 5 tracks from the new EP feature vocals from Lydia Clowes, known as being half of female electro duo Bad Honey.

Speaking of the single, Tommy said “‘Poolside’ is about someone who has spent their life on the sidelines. They desperately want to get involved and keep promising themselves that today is the day, but then can’t quite do it; its not really who they are. I guess the idea is that things feel better if there is someone standing in the corner with you. Suddenly the gap between where you are and where you want to seem smaller; they might give you enough confidence to get involved. The song spends a lot of time balanced on the point at which you have to decide to do something; the absolute fear you feel making the decision.”
