Vaarwell have released their new single ‘No Place For You’.
The track from the Lisbon based alternative pop trio combines their influences of indie, pop, soul and electronica seamlessly intertwined into a mesmerising release.
Speaking of the single, frontwoman Magarida Falcão said: “With ‘No Place for You’, we did things a little differently in our songwriting process – it was originally an acoustic demo that I had recorded on my phone a while back and it was a quite a downer. When I finally showed it to Ricardo, he started working on the production and it quickly became a more upbeat single, with a catchy chorus that contrasts with its moody lyrics. The song details the patterns and vices of a loved one’s toxic behavior, the vicious cycle of their bad habits and how it affects you and your life choices.”
A seamless intertwining of genres, ‘No Place For You’ is a dreamy pop-infused track with the upbeat electronica infusion adding spark to the single contrasting the deep meaningful lyrics. Margarida’s vocals almost float through the release taking you on a journey to the catchy chorus.
