Isaac Waddington | 5 tracks that influenced ‘Borselli’ EP

Isaac Waddington has unveiled his debut EP ‘Borselli’.

Marking three years since he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, Isaac’s new EP proves he’s not only a talented singer, but a gifted songwriter.

Combining a range of influences for his new EP release ranging from jazz to R’nB, he seamlessly blends them together to create a distinct yet effortless soulful sound.

To share an insight into the EP release, Isaac shared with us five tracks that helped shaped the release.

Chan Chan – Buena Vista Social Club
This track inspired the entire EP, purely down to its musicality, feel and freedom of creativity.

Tom Misch – Wake Up This Day
This song inspired me because it’s a proper vibe, and made me want to create a hip-hop/R’n’B feel that hopefully runs throughout parts of the EP.

Marian Hill – Down
I love the simplicity but weight of this track. Playing with three or four strong elements in a single song is exciting to me!

Jill Scott – Golden
The fullness and shine in this track is what inspired me to create a warm and melodic aspect to some of the songs in ‘Borselli’.

D’angelo – Another Life
All of D’angelo’s work has inspired me in different ways. This record is just so groovy!
